It’s no secret that I love to craft but nothing is better than Christmas crafting! I mentioned the other day that I needed to change out the frames in the kitchen which were holding the glittered backing and fall leaves.
I managed to get my hands on some leftover burlap and had a great idea to incorporate it into the frames. Seeing that I had three frames I thought the word JOY would work well and it seemed very fitting for the season! First I started out by measuring and cutting out three 12×12 squares of burlap.
Then I printed out the word JOY on transparency paper in the right font. Choosing the right font was hard enough. It’s amazing how much time can be spent getting just the right look!
Next, I placed the three burlap pieces on the wall (board) and made sure they lined up perfectly and projected the letters on each piece. When I had the letter where I needed it I traced the outline. When I was done with the first letter I just dragged the projector over making sure the keep the letters centered.
When they were all done I just used a black sharpie to fill in the letters.
I continued until they were all done. Looking at the outline I wasn’t sure how they would look but once they were all filled in I loved how practically perfect they looked!
