Some spaces can be a bit tricky to style when it comes to furniture placement. When styling our living room we had a little corner that was begging to be a separate seating area. There was a mauve colored highback chair living in the space and so rather than spending money on a new chair I just painted the upholstery. You can read all about that HERE!
For fun I thought I would share a few different ways you could style a space like this! First I went with a bit of a farmhouse look. I incorporated some lanterns and a beautiful wood starburst mirror and wicker basket to hold blankets.
Next, I went a little glam using mixed metals to style the space! I stacked some books because what’s better than curling up with a good book in a space like this. The standing vase with flowers helps to soften the space too.
The third look is all about family! I filled it with lots of family images. Instead of a mirror I hung a photo canvas from Canvas on the Cheap that we absolutely love. It’s the 18″x24″ which was the perfect size for this space. The photo was taken by Kendra Conroy.
The last style is a mix of transitional and farmhouse. I’m not sure if it’s the fact that this look is so different than what we normally have in this space or what but I kinda love it and may have to keep it!
