So remember in this post when I talked about those Ribba frames that I love so much! Well, while I was unpacking my autumn boxes of goodies I came across these big leaves. For the life of me I can’t remember where I got them or what I ever did with them in the past but I suddenly had a great idea for them. Since I can call myself a scrapbooker, owning tons of books, paper, stickers, you know the whole nine but have yet to finish a book completely, I dug for some paper that had a fall feel to it. I came across some nice thick copper glittered cardstock. Not sure what’s going on with glitter lately but it seems that I can’t get enough of it!
The beauty of this is that the frame space is 12×12 and the paper? You guessed it, 12×12! Here are the frames from the last time you saw them.
I took them down and took all the backing off and then placed the leaf in the center. As soon as I had the leaf where I wanted it I carefully placed the card stock on top and put the back cover back on and hung them! That’s all. So quick and simple but makes such a big impact!
Have you ever used your frames to showcase anything other than photos?
Yes!!! I have framed concert tickets and love it!!!
Love this idea! Might need to use it! =)
THIS is a wonderful idea. And they turned out lovely. Before I read, and just going on pictures, I thought the paper behind the leaves was sandpaper, which strikes me as a great idea as well. The texture! Thanks for the idea! And happy happy fall!!
Thanks! Happy fall to you as well
Burlap can also be a great idea too!
This one is really perfect!…i love the idea of using three pictures on a large wall, specially if it is a long hall. Congrats!
I have put old Christmas cards in them to put all over the house. I have been using alot of glittery products, too! Lol
