It’s Monday! I am excited for absolutely no reason what so ever. The good news is that I’ve got a really fun craft for you guys to try out. As part of the Dare to DIY series: Give Handmade I’ve made a great bracelet for you to make and give as a gift! Now if you’ve been following me for awhile then you know that I am no stranger to making bracelets on here.

Well today I am going to show you another fun piece of arm candy you can easily put together and give to a girlfriend who loves jewelry!
Tassels are all the rage right now so when I thought about what I wanted my bracelet to look like there was no question it would have a tassel! I started with a few pieces: A Leather Wrap (mine was purchased in Hong Kong when I had visited years ago but you can find something similar at any craft store), Jump Rings, and any Colored Thread to your liking.
You’ll also need something to help close your wrap up. All of these supplies can be found at Michaels or any craft store!
The first thing you’re going to do is start off with wrapping your thread about 15 times around two fingers.
Next, you’ll open a jump ring and fit the loop into the ring and then close it.
Then, with another piece of thread just wrap it around the top right under the jump ring a few times until it is nice and tight. You’ll want to tighten that by making a knot. I double knotted.
To finish off your tassel just grab a good sharp pair of scissors and cut the closed loop at the bottom and make sure all your thread is even.
BOOM…you’ve got yourself a tassel.
All I did next was take a bunch of the gold jump rings (14 to be exact) and put them on the leather wrap. Next I placed the tassel on and then another 14 jump rings.
I just added my clamps on the end to be able to close the bracelet and then added it to my collection!
Are you feeling the tassel craze right now?
